Samo Zaen

Samo Zaen was born on 10th of November in Kuwait, He is Scorpio, He is from a Syrian family and from time to time he was visiting them in Syria and other European Countries till he finished his Secondary school. After graduation, he traveled to London to study sound engineering.

He worked as a sound engineer in London for several years but eventually returned to Kuwait and started his own business in audio equipments under the name Twitter for Audio Equipments”. After his quick fame in the world of sound engineering, all distinguished Arab singers dealt with him. After his great success, he decided to open another branch in London but chance played the greatest role in Samo’s entry to the world of art and fame.Once he got his first offer to sing at one of London’s famous restaurant, he received warm applause from the audience, his relatives and his friends who were attracted to his way and style in singing. He decided after that to release his first album “Mili ya helwa”with “El-Kheyol Company”. He did not expect this reaction from audience as he gained their admiration and he won their hearts quickly. Moreover, he topped the list of singers in the satellite channels. He began preparing for the second album with new ideas for a whole year under the name “Ana leek “with “ Rotana Company”.This album was his real chance for stability and progress in the world of stardom He won for this album 11 Arab and international awards. K'naan

Born in Mogadishu, Somalia, K'naan spent his childhood in the district of Wardhiigleey ("The Lake of Blood") during the Somali Civil War, which began in 1991. His aunt, Magool, was one of Somalia's most famous singers. K'naan's grandfather, Haji Mohamed, was a poet. K'naan is also a Muslim. His name, K'naan, means "traveller" in the Somali language.K'naan's father, Abdi, left the country, along with many other intellectuals to settle in New York City and work as a cab driver. He mailed money home to his family. As the civil war continued and the situation in Somalia continued to deteriorate, K'naan's mother, Marian Mohamed, petitioned the United States embassy for an exit visa. In 1991, on the last day the US embassy remained open as the government of Mohamed Siad Barre collapsed their visa was approved, and they boarded the last commercial flight out of the country.They joined relatives in Harlem, New York City, before moving to the Toronto, Ontario neighbourhood of Rexdale, where there was a large Somali Canadian community. His family still lives there. In his new country, K'naan began learning English, some through hip hop albums by artists like Nas and Rakim. Despite speaking no English, the young K'naan taught himself hip hop and rap diction, copying the lyrics and style phonetically. He then also began rapping.
