Jannat Mahid

Singing was in her blood since she was 5 years old, unlike children in her age playing with dolls; she used to listen to Umma Kalthoum, Abd El Wahab & many other great singers, she is the Star Jannat. She was raised in her family with her 3 brothers, where she wasn't just the only girl, but the youngest. She was always surrounded by their care and attention since she was the youngest & by this attention her family noticed that her ear in listening wasn't interested in kids’ songs as the kids in her age, she used to choose heavy songs and she started singing those songs. Her family then started supporting her specially her mother, who had herself a beautiful voice, but she only used it in singing for the family or in the family events. When she was 8, she participated in a singing competition in Morocco & stood on stage with a band and audience. Despite she was very young, she had no fear. Not only that, she won the first place in this competition. After that she participated in another 3 competitions in morocco & she one the first place, 1 in Alexandria & she also won the first place and the last one before she started her album was in Dubai shopping & tourism festival "Mahragan El Seyaha Wel Tasawok" & she also won the first place. She was then invited by Dr. Ratiba El Hefni as a guest of Horner to sing in the opening of the Arabic music Festival in the Opera. She paused for a while until she graduated from marketing. From there she started taking singing as a career & not just a talent; in 2004 she launched a single song in a Clip named "Efhamny Habibi". During that time the producer Ahmed Desouki was looking for new voices to introduce, he liked her voice so much & signed with her in 2005, since then, they had been working on her first album with Good News for Music "Elly Beiny W Beinak" till it had been launched in July 2006, it took them a year and a half preparing this album, as the producer Ahmed Desouki wanted her album to be a hit, it took them a lot of time & effort. It was really a hit. She shot "Aktar men sana" as the clip and the audiences say that her voice is so tender & warm & her feelings are high & this is reflected on the songs & her voice. The album has a total of 10 songs, a mix between love, sadness & being hurt & songs to show a strong woman. She's also shot another song from her album called "Bahebak" with the director Mohamed Gomaa. She launched two singles in Collection “Good News Vol-1” called “Habeby Ala Neyato” & “Alek Beeh” in July 2008. She is now working with Producer Ahmed El Desouki on their second album together which will be released on 2009.

Massar Egbari

Massar Egbari are an Egyptian Band from Alexandria, Egypt. The band members created that sarcastic name for the band since they felt that the society is trying to imply its power over people starting from their childhood till the day they die. This social power wants to stereotype everything including the way we think and feel, leaving no space for creation and innovation.Massar Egbari presents music and songs talking about our social problems. Love is not our main concern although it represents a part of our songs. Through the members' different musical backgrounds, the band is presenting a kind of Alternative Egyptian Music, mixing rock, Jazz and Blues with some Oriental music, giving the band it's own unique sound.Massar Egbari started in 2005, and played on almost all the Egyptian stages, and starting 2007 the band started to perform in Europe as it participated in Malta Arts Festival (Valletta-Malta) , Barisa Rock Festival - Rock for Peace (Istanbul-Turkey), The Biennale of young artists from Europe and the mediterranean (Bari-Italy)and some of the band members participated in Seven Gates Music Workshop (Skopje-Macedonia) with musicians from Macedonia , Bosnia and Herzegovina , Turkey and Italy.WIKIPEDIA

Hamza Namira

Hamza Namira, is not only a new artist with Awakening, but he is a new model that represents an important side of the modern Arabic culture through our production. Being Egyptian, born in 1980 in Saudi Arabia, living between many Arab cities and among multi-levels, gave him the sense to determine the characteristics of the modern Arabic culture and its dream "Which will be the name of his first album".Hamza started playing Music in Alexandria- Egypt, when he was 17. With this early age, he started composing as a consequence of his great love to Guitar and Keyboards.1999 Hamza became a member in "Love & Peace" band. Till today Hamza still admits Mr. Nabil Albaklie –The band founder- great impact on his music and life in General."Nomaira" –A 5 members' band- was founded on the year 2001, by Hamza himself. The band had performed many live concerts, and used to participate in Musical contests and festivals. Although the band started to be well-known, especially through their songs discussing humanity and social issues, Hamza had to freeze the band activities after 3 years of success, due to the immigration of 3 members of the band.Hamza's uniqueness is not only being one of the faces of the Arabic modern culture, but also his insistence on discussing our current social and common issues through his songs, to keep us dreaming of the better.
