سامى يوسف - تبعوه لما عرفوا Video: Sami Yusuf "It's A Game"

Muslims Rocker Sami Yusef is back with force and I am so happy to see him walk into the spotlight again with a song worthy of this talented musician. This time he is back with a song about the prophet and the film they made about him. Sami is a very sober voice among many Muslims.

His comeback song is animated this time, and offers plenty of martial for the young an old. Sami is looking cool even in cartoonish look. It seems he has found his zen to challenge his vocals one more time and produce such a lovely song in at least three languages. In under two hours, the song has already packed so many views online.

His advise, let them say what they wish....it's a game. The artist finally crafted a song that will reboot his career and bring him back to his earlier successes. This time he is teaching Muslims to be cool under pressure without sounding patronizing. Anger is not a strategy....

All My Arabs Song Salutes The UAE Leaders

The term Arab is loosely defined by so many people. For some it means the Bedouin, for others it's anyone who lives in those 21 Arab countries. Some even argue that anyone who speaks Arabic is Arab, but when it comes to music all bets are off.

Check out this song by the coolest pop singer from the Gulf namely the UAE, Hussein Al Jassmy. He has made Gulf music popular and has done that for at least 10 years now. While most Gulf based singers stopped catering for other markets than the ones at home, Hussein took the gold as he is a mega star in Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon and all the nation on the Gulf

So he did a suck up job for the ruler of Dubai--one of the best Arab leaders to walk on earth. He is a business guy and a real Arab which means he is generous. His people adore him and he gets respect anywhere he goes. As someone who grew up in Dubai, I have come to appreciate the leaders of that world class city.

The difference between this song and other songs made for other leaders--the singer did not have to do it and he was not paid a penny.

Watch 80,000 Koreans Lose It To "Gangnam Style" Live

South Korea is hardly known for its pop stars and cultural icons. But this Fall, it all changed when a littl known Korean pop singer PSY released his catchy "Ganagam Style", a song that went viral and traveled the world and back. The singer expressed his amazement of his new fame and his global hit.

The song is about living it rich people style, but for reasons unknown the song caught fire and have transformed the career of PSY for a little known singer into a cultural icon across the globe. For all we know Aliens might be watching him too doing it Gangnam Style.

To thank his fans, he half a concert where 80 million people turned out and the massive crowd seemed to go bunkers for their homeboy singer as he moved on the stage, backed by his dancers. What other star can turnd out 80 thousand concert goers?

Dance Away With Zen Master Yahia Sweis New Single

Yahia Sweis is a passionate young man, but the father of the girl he loves can kick his butt. Yahia loves the girl from next door where their both houses are separated by a wall--he wants to tear down that wall. So Yahia makes a proposition  let me marry your daughter in accordance with the religious traditions off course.

At least this is how his new single goes. Yahia is a spirited singer from Jordan, he did appear on Star Academy three years ago. I think he has a winner song here and it has the wild appeal to most Arabs. The beat will be welcome in Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. The lyrics are dripping passion, Yahia looks the part. This is a song that will be welcomed by the young and the old. The young will like the upbeat style, the old will cheer the traditional style.

Yahia is well composed guy, a very quite personalty, and a student of Computer sciences. His song Karmal 'Ayonik will be a great calling card for concerts and othber parties. Great Job Yahia, you have made a great choice here.

Introducing George Zghaib, "Miracle Child" Of Arabic Music

He is a little Lebanese boy who has been rocking Arabic music news with his talent. He plays a mean lute "oud" and does a great job covering classics of the Arabic songs. Pretty much all the legends he has memorized songs for them and can perform them life. People go wild for this boy and I have been burried in stories about him.

They call me the "miracle child" he is like a magician with that lute, I am speechless! This guy is getting people excited. Young people like him who have such talent have a bright future for them--they just need to be children. Lebanon continues to impress me with surprises liked boy George. Reports have confirmed George  residing in the Lebanese home of Syrian singer George Wassouf.

Not sure what the future holds for George but we have had stars start at a young age do songs like those. Singers like George Wassouf, Wael Jassar, Asalah and Angham started at a young age--they seem to have done well for themselves.

She is Lebanese but she does very well with Iraqi songs, her latest music video will treat her Iraqi song into a cool music video. Her songs are about being away form the motherland, she did this very loud and strong song about yearning to the land of the ancestor.

Here claim to fame was a happy dance song that gets you pumped up. Get ready for one more pop diva that fights hard to get where she needs to be.

Mado In "Alb7r Bedhk Leh" He Hits All The Right Notes

The nightmare of every girl is to have your wedding day and see no one is happy for you. And see that your wedding has turned into a full blown funeral. Mado, the indie musicians who seem to never have abandoned his ideal during and after the revolution is always improving on his musical style.

His latest song and music video are focused on the lute and its magical music. He goes to the beach and tries to figure out why it's always smiling. This is a new song that uses the title of a classical song to make his point. It's an artsy music video too. Mado doe snot sound angry, he is no longer shouting or talking politics. It would appear he is switching gears for a mellower form of art....this strikes me as a dark romantic song.

I like this mainstream take on Mado, his music video might get him new fans, without damaging the core of his fan base. He has manged to get them a song that will please everyone.

This Song Should Be Mandatory For Arab Females

Assala has always done things her way, when people tell her you cannot, she just says, watch me. When her husband cheated on her and tried to make himself some kind of victim, she told him to buzz off, she dumped his face and went on.

She married a guy who loves her, lover her music, her kids, and has given her twins. Then she have collaborated together on one of the greatest comebacks. Assala has beat most younger females and marked herself as a survivor.

She is having the greatest year of her life, success on TV, on music and even taking up the cause of the Syrian revolutionaries. Then came her 2012 album, a good album with at least 70 percent of greatness. But the one song that moves me, and I think it expresses much about Assala's boldness, she says she is stubborn. The song feels like jazz but the lyrics are a lesson on being your own woman. She takes everything as a challenge and she follows through.

You Cannot Get More Lebanon Than Najwa Karam

Najwa Karam has made a point of her unlimited love for her home country, Lebanon, she will only sing in that country's dialect, she celebrates the army and the people often and she accepts all invitation for concerts at home. She really shows up

She is also a business force too and plays Lebanon's best tourism booster. She is fiery, she is smart and she is seems naturally good looking. Najwa Karam has rocked the music scene in Lebanon since the late 80s, and she has yet to take a break. She has seen it all and every song is a hit, each song is also Lebanon.

She has an upcoming concert this Sunday in Beirut, and the promo video will remind you of her greatest hits and moments in front of thousands of adoring fans. Najwa Karam Concert Promo. I have yet to have the chance to see this mighty diva perform live.

Video: كايروكي احنا الشعب - Cairokee Ehna Elshaab

Cairokee is a hip indie rock band in post Mubarak Egypt. They are the hottest and busiest band among many impressive bands. Ciarokee is much different than most bands in one thing, they are always changing and constantly changing their style.

You can never be board with this band, they always do songs in a different style than their last one. They made rock activist music, then they did an awesome third eye blind style songs and French feeling music videos. Now they are dabbling into poetry when they sing one of those Egyptian classic poem by the folksy poem Abdel Raham Al Abanoody.

They took his poem, composed music for it and sang it in a fitting style for this blues songs. I am detecting they are taken on the Muslim Brotherhoods and other religious groups in Egypt. It's proper for them to sing the blues, they sort of feel cheated--I would say they are upset for not winning. I like the line where they shame the brotherhood for abandoning the Tahrir Square after they have meet a backroom deal with the military.

I love the music and adore the lyrics, and wish the band well. I truly believe this, Cairokee is a band that would do well in music festivals outside Egypt- They put on a good show all around.

Watch This Music Video Rocks, Ana Satreen - أنا سطرين

I love a good rap song, and I love it more when it has a good beat, and funky mixing. In "Ana Satreen", a song about freedom of expression. Thanks to Asfalt who features Ameer Yossef to make this awesome track. I love how they made the music video.

This kind of songs are not made in 2012, it seems most of them were made last year, but these guys have brought the activist rock back to the forefront. Per their own words,  Asfalt strives through their songs to reach out to average arab men/women about everyday life issues, culture, values etc.. Mix some feel good music with some egyptian pop culture and there you have Asfalt.

I think this just did that with their latest music video and track. They are Cairo based and draw inspirations form the stories they live everyday in this ever evolving city. Asfalt received a shout out from another hot indie band Cairokee, shared the song and wished them well.

The Fascinating Choir Project Keeps It Fresh مشروع كورال

They might be one of the coolest things to happen to Cairo's music scene in a really long time. They are The Choir Project The team behind this amazing choir project does things a bit differently. For starter, they invite people from all walks of life to put their aspirations and concerns, their feelings and thoughts, their jokes and woes into song.

The Choir Project started in 2010. It began as an offshoot of the international Complaints Choir, the brainchild of two Finnish artists with the aim of “transforming the huge energy people put into complaining into something else.” In Cairo, Egypt, 25 young men and women — many of whom have no background of training in music or live performance  joined forces for this project.

A week-long workshop of communal improvisation, lyric-writing, and composition culminates in a short performance — with often surprising results. Then fruit of their labor is put forward in a music video that seems to have a lot of fans out there. While they do have accomplished vocalists on the ticket, those people are often in supporting role, as they star is the man on the street who has a talent that has gone unnoticed by many.

Take for example, their latest songs, they tackle the topic of the day, electricity in Egypt, there has been issues with that most recently, and naturally people are pissed.

Wa'ad El Bahriy 2012 Album البوم وعد البحرى - اغير حياتى

Not every great voice out there, gets to release their own album, but today I was pleased to see one do just that. Wa'ad El Bahriy released her debut album where the title "I Change My Life" here's what I think of this drop dead amazing album.

Since voicing the songs of Ashman on a popular TV show few years ago, Wa'ad has slowly, judiciously tweaked her sound, moving from mild brunch-friendly romance to mild, brunch-friendly pop to the mild, brunch-friendly rock. Wa'ad navigates her way carefully through the disc's decorous tracks, investing her usually unruffled sound with just enough rough-and-tumble.

The first thing that struck me is that it's very different from her earlier work, the celebrated covers of Asmahan's vintage tracks. The album has bluesy and much more upbeat, and (generally) more fast-paced tunes. In fact, after 3 or 4 listenings, I'm enormously satisfied, and increasingly confident in Wa'ad's ability to continue producing stellar albums. Wa'ad appeared on the Star Academy show's second season where she rocked out.

I believe each track from Aghayer Hayati to Montaha El Ehsas ranks among Wa'ad's best vocal performances, and has an incredible quality to it that truly makes it stand out. As for the musical ingredients are as likely to come from the romantic and classics collection of Arabic music. One of the most appealing aspects about this album is its relaxed, intimate feel. This album clearly being aimed at wider audiences than the straight-ahead oldies crowd, with perhaps a good helping of more pop-oriented songs. But the CD is remarkably laid-back and surprisingly eclectic.

Wa'ad's voice breathy but with an intriguing detached, almost aloof quality. Somewhat surprisingly, the album does not often go into cabaret musical territory, but when it does, the results are also both tasteful and intriguing.

Wa'ad is based in the United Arab Emirates where she goes to school, but she is often in Cairo working and recording songs. She is a student of music and have trained in a number of instruments most notably the lute.

Ramy Essam Promotes Literacy At Home In Egypt

When your songs have tackled dictators, military rulers, religious extremists, sexual predator you always strive to find other topic to bring attention to. For Ramy Essam, he has found a topic to add to the list of subjects he sings about--Literacy.

Egypt has millions of people who cannot read nor write. Ramy has chosen an international day to combat illiteracy to release a video project. He calls upon volunteers to join an effort to teach at least one person. I salute the singer and his effort to spread awareness through his music and activism. He is right literacy is great for international peace.

What do you guys think of his new look? He kinda looks like Mado now--another indie singer.

WATCH: Zayn Malik and Niall From One Direction Fires Up The Night At The MTV Video Music Awards

One Direction took North America by storm as have quickly changed the focus of the MTV Video Music Awards, winning two early awards and stealing the attention from Rihanna and her other performer during the evening celebrating music.

But One Direction, lead by Zayn Malik the heartthrob British boy band, quickly took over, bringing thunderous cheers from the crowd upon winning best pop video. MTV tried something new this year, unveiling a double-decker red carpet that featured two stories of stars and celebrities. Thousands of fans lined up outside the show's new home, the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The house was packed in screaming One Direction fans who are into sugar pop.

You will be happy to know One Direction drew the loudest cheers of the day — something even rivals The Wanted acknowledged — even though fans had to labor under a scorching sun with the temperature at 90 degrees. But it was all worth the Katy Perry blowing kisses to each member of One Direction

It was the night's first televised award and one of five top-nominee Rihanna was up for. They also won the most share-worthy moonman during the pre-awards show. Katy Perry announced the first televised award of the night -- best pop video, which went to U.K. boy band One Direction for "What Makes You Beautiful."

One direction is the the first British act to debut atop the Billboard 200 album chart, seemed stunned as fans screamed upon announcement of their win. "We've grown up watching this show and to even be here is an honor," Niall Horan said before the band made its way through the crowd.

LISTEN: Rania Ahmed, The Coolest Songstress New Single

At First she released a really happy song that rocked my summer...thanks to music from Tamer Ashour. But Rania delivered a knockout song with much energy and excitement to move a mountain. I loved her song and blogged about it for everyone to read. Rania might be the most promising voice from Egypt in a really long time. She has the image, the personality and better yet the voice to stand the test of time.

And now comes her followup hit, it's a darker one that Rania delivered with heart and soul. The song is about reaching a dead end and the relationship now is over with. Then comes the pain and the analyzing portion of this dark journey. Rania lets all her emotion hang for her latest, and they show throughout the song. I like the sobering music and the sweet yet dark feel the song has.

The song is a produce of an A team--Tamer Ashour composed the music, Aser did the arrangements Nadir Abdallah wrote the lyrics--he wrote too many romantic songs including for Elissa. Wonder boy of sound engineering Hany Mahrous treated the song.

Nancy Ajram Celebrates Her 4th Wedding Anniversary

Nancy Ajram has done many things right in her life and throughout her life she has many success, but none of her accomplishment compare to the things she has accomplished with her family. She has one of the best families in the show business.

She has a loving husband and two cute girls. Her husband is doctor Fady Al Hashim- we really do not know much about him. This is great because this speaks about the kind of person Dr. Hashim is. He is not a big ego and he never speaks to the pres. He is next to Nancy, and seems to be at peace with himself. He chooses to stay away form the spotlight and mostly keeps to his practice and his family.

The most famous Arab couple are celebrating their fourth anniversary this week. I am sure their little girls are happy to have them in their lives. Plus not to forget the loving grandmother who spends a great deal with the two Nancy girls. The marriage took place in the fall of 2008 (Sept 1) when Nancy was enjoying the succes of her record breaking album "Bitfaker Fi Eeh". Her fans are celebrating the occasion and wishing the young and spunky songstress more to come.

I have always admired the choices Nancy Ajram makes, but they all pale when compared to her decision to marry her dentist. See, most female entertainers marry a business guy or a music producer, they rarely marry regular folks. And they certainly almost never marry young. Nancy did the opposite, she married a regular nice gentleman and she married young. It seems that only increased her love in the heart of her fans. Her business is booming and her family seems to be happy. It took guts to do something like that especially when most female entertainers keep away from marriage out of fear their fans might abandon them.

DOWNLOAD: Hamaki 2012 Album البوم محمد حماقى - من قلبى بغنى

The first all pop album of 2012 has officially been released today and the honor goes to the guy who can do no wrong Mr. Mohamed Hamaki or as most known him Mr. Hamaki. He made the music and the songs in Egypt--his proud home. But for the album cover he flew to London to get something fresh and he pulled it off very well

Cool shades and a slim fit suit is always chic. This is a cool beach album that makes the finest ringtones out there. I like Hamaki and I think he takes his music to the next level. He has a great team made up of friends and people who like him--they certainly give him the time and the talent. He takes all that and adds to it. 12 album tracks are hard to come by, but Hamaki gives his listener a great value on top of fun music.

The lead track off the album will be “Nefsi Ab’a Ganbou”, written by Ayman Bahjat Qamar, composed Amro Mostafa and arranged by Touma. Touma is a buddy of Hamaki; Ayman is the hottest lyricists in Egyptian and Arab pop; Amr Moustafa is a hit-maker in Arabic and Turkish pop.

A Tribute To Egypt's Women And Their Achievements

People who study history know women have always had a role in making it, sometimes this role is behind the scene, sometimes it's ion the front lines. While some overestimate the role of women, many underestimate it. The Arab world is no different in this sense than the rest of the world. Others might have a different attitude about it, but still there is bias out there.

In Egypt, there have always been those strong women, in literature, in journalist, in politics, social movements and in just about every field. The slides are in Arabic, but they do bring a number of known and unknown women in the modern history of Egypt. The music accompanying the video is is nothing short of dazzling

These slides present a group of pioneer women in the modern history of Egypt in various fields. They contributed to our civilization. They are a window to know our past, shaping our present and building the future. The slides had been produced in cooperation with Woman and Memory Forum, the slides have been designed by Heba Helmy.

Zayn Malik Gets Distracted By Cute Girls In The Audience

That's the obvious news, sugar pop boy band Zayn Malik has confessed that he often gets distracted by the cute girls in the audience. I am sure he is not the only one to have this problem, he is just bold enough to admit it.

All those young ladies and his fans waving their hands in the air, jiggling around and generally dribbling at the sight of his very existence during One Direction concerts can distract him from hitting his high notes. I am guessing this is a good problem to have. Girls are girls and if anything pop culture has taught us about them is that they like to have fun.
"I can see a cute girl in the audience and get distracted by that,” the Bradford Bad Boi told BOP magazine.

That must be exciting news for all of his young fans, they are being noticed by one of their idols. Niall, Louis and Liam must feel the same way like their band mate.
“It’s nice to have someone who catches your eye in the audience and catches your attention, because then you can kind of sing to her and perform to her a little bit!”

But this is not a big deal to Zayn's girlfriend, Mix singer Perrie Edwards. She told The Sun newspaper: “I just think it’s funny. You have to trust each other. Me and Zayn are really happy. We see each other quite a lot, the only time we don’t is when he’s in America. It’s really hard. But I trust him.” Zayn has attended Perrie most recent performance on the popular game show Red or Black and he was thrilled to hear her perform "Wings" along with her band mates

This seems like a mature relationship that understands the complexity of having a successful business life and a great personal life.

Zayn Malik Admits He likes Perrie Edwards
