Ammar Hassan Sounds Different Every Time He Sings

"Martyr of Love" is a cliche for a title of a song, nevertheless the Palestinian super star Ammar Haasan has called his song just that. Ammar Hassan came from a small town in the West Bank and rose to fame as he took part of the Super Star singing competition. He did well and dazzled the fans in Arabia.

He even released an album many years ago, then he has gotten married and his concerts in both Palestine and Jordan are often well attended. He keeps his name out there be releasing singles. He has done well and has manged to keep his name circulating.

Now sure what to make of his latest song, other than saying it is passionate and it's good. He sounds like a Lebanese bro and he carries the song like a pro. This town of Qalqilia native is doing his fans a solid all over the map.

حماده هلال - هبدأ حياتى / Hamada Helal - Habdaa Hyaty

Egypt loves this guy, he is an all around star. He sings about pretty much everything: life, love, youth, the past, Egypt, politics, kids and humor. He also has excelled in making great songs. He does not talk to the press much, but when he talks he often have something new to talk about, promote. Just like the seasoned talents out here in the States do.

He is a devoted family guy, and a cool guy too. He made this movie about a boxer, it was so well made and the guy looked the part (he was ripped) This summer he went with a movie for kids, it made millions of Egyptian pounds. He has released two other songs from that movie and now comes the third one. A more serious song about the dark moment each of us goes through.

Laila Gofran 2012 Music Video Promo Surfaces

Laila Gofran is not 20 years old anymore, I know of her when she was in her late 20s. I studied for High School listening to her covers of the great songs of Abdel Halim Hafiz. She did it right then, and since then she has not had the great success she is owed. A smart and a warm voice ought to have a place in the music scene with her two year old song

This Moroccan lady who made a second home for herself and her family in Cairo--her own daughter was murdered in that town. She has been working on her latest album, and as you can see from the promo Laila looked younger than ever. Seriously, she looks like she has not aged and she is pushing on 50 now. Laila had a good single in 2009 about losing someone close to the heart. It became an instant hit because it felt coming form her deep soul.

Gofran who just invested in an Egyptian restaurant in her home town in Morocco will be making a music comeback shortly. I hate for this talented songstress to become famous for being famous.  I think she should move to the Gulf for a year or two and try to reboot her career from there. The Gulf has always been welcoming to the ladies of Morocco who can sing.

Clever boy Kareem Mohsen composed the music for the song, and the clip was filmed more than two years ago but due to production issues it has been delayed.

Ayman El Refaie: When Sexy Prays

The good looking, and charming singer Ayman El Refaie has a song where he is praying to the good Lord. The handsome almost model look singer who comes from Egypt chose an odd time to release his latest track. It might be that he wants us to know prayer is as good any time and it doe snot have to be limited to the holy month of Ramadan--when most such songs get aired.

Ayman is a rare breed, he sings, composers and writes his own lyrics too--which gives him an advantage in both the business and the artistic sides. Ayman started his career in 2006 and has already authored two songs that were featured in films--one of whom won him an ward.

Cyrine Abdel Nour-Snin 2012 She Does Not Need The Work

One of the pleasant surprise of Arab pop is Cyrine Abdel Nour, a family gal with a best TV drama in ages, and a solid concert bookings around Lebanon and Egypt. She is also a popular singer in the virtual world. She did not make a single in more than three years, but just recently she had a song that was featured in a film.

She appears in a music video to promote the song. She sounds good, sweet, mellow with a dance beat. Cyrine is one of those entertainers who have met success by crossing over from modeling into singing into acting. She is a diva that has the looks and the commercial success to boast about. She has grace and class written all over her brand.

Her very long TV series Ruby finished few months ago, but her fame has only grown stronger since then. Her fans do not like to see their star compared to other entertainers--Haifa and the pack. Frankly, she stays away form those circles and instead focuses on her business and her family.

Listen: اغنية كارمن سليمان خايفة/Carmen Soliman-Khayfa

Carmen is one bold chick! She is the only young star who is comfortable releasing songs with no music. Most new singers are often intimidated, and seek to package their voice with music. Carmen needs none of that, most of her songs online and on TV shows she performs without music.

To be clear, she is not against music, she just knows that she has that voice and her confidence shows. She is the title winner of Arab Idol. She has just released a fresh track--from one of her many media appearances. "Afraid" is a song about women fear of the uncertainty of the future. Carmen is magician, I love her voice and sincere emotions.

Make no mistake about it, this is how a perfect voice should sound, it needs not to hide behind fancy computer affects.

For Those Who Miss Badriyah Al Sayed, She is BACK بدريه السيد انا عيني عليه

She took part of Star Academy more than two years ago, she was not the sharpest tool in the box, but likable she was. She made friends with everyone, she joked around and made best friends with Rahma Ahmed. Rahma was busy making a career, Badriyah moved to Beirut for work.

Now she is released her debut music video where she gives you the beach. The song sounds like an Egyptian beat--mostly the city of Alexandria. There was another lady that went by the name Badriyah Al Sayed years ago and she helped shape the folksy songs. Here's another Badriyah picking the same style and adding a bit more romance to this modern day tale.

If YouTube comments tell us anything, this songstress have fans out there who really miss her and want to be part of her life. For this new single, she has challenged herself and voice training may have done her wonders.  The new look seems to have worked beautifully.

The Elephants Fly In Iraq With Nasrat Albadr

This is the title of hip Iraqi up and coming blues singer Nasrat Albadr, the guy sounds very Iraqi, but he sounds like he is mimicking someone who is a lot older than himself. But Nasrat is doing the very unique Iraqi style of blues. They have lived under sad reality and it has creeped into their music so beautifully and naturally. Nasrat is one \of those voices that is mroe famous among Iraqi musicians than among the casual fans.

A native to Baghdad, the son of a former pilot. Studied in Baghdad and went to art school, the moved to Syria, Lebanon, Dubai. He started his professional career in 1998. He is capable composer who has worked with Hussam Al Arassam and composed many songs for him. The song below is from his 2012 album...when elephants fly.

Listen: Mohammad Ramadan Sad Yet Dancy Single

Mohammad Ramadan knew it's the right time to release his single, a sad song with a happy beat. He has learned his lesson. He has found it hard to to fall in love, but it's really hard to release a single without the backing of a sponsor like that radio that released the song on its airwaves.

This is a good song, different that his sadder songs where he gets in touch with his soft side and makes people tear up. He still keeps that broken down personality, but the music is a bit happier and invites dance. It's like those moments when you know the one you live is made at you in their mind, but they are not showing or talking. This is not easy....I know this.

I like the fusion of music.

Majid Al Mohandes 2012 Romance Album Teaser

Iraqi singer Majid Al Mohandes is the lord of pop music in the Gulf region, he has made a lot of Iraqi songs too, but they are not why he is so well know. He makes good music for the Gulf, and often collects a lot of money from his concerts appearances and [private functions.

But he is not just about the money, he likes to be a big deal in places like Lebanon and Egypt. So once in a blue moon, he releases something that goes mainstream. He is very good this way. His album sell big in the Gulf, but his romantic singles top the charts in Beirut, Morocco and Syria. I do not like his albums, I find myself loving his singles.

He is a very sweet guy where words coming from his mouth are sweeter than anything you have ever heard. He comes a cross as a sensitive soul that can be broken by the simplest things. He is very sincere. The dudes of the internet love his voice and appreciate his songs. unmarried guys think, they are the perfect lovers, it's not until they get married when they find out, they really are not so. Until then Majid will help them heal and fall in love with that imaginary soul

Tamer Hosny Shrinking Fans Celebrate His Fake Wedding With A Song

While the news has not been officially confirmed, fans of the Egyptian pop star have released a song to celebrate the unconfirmed rumors of his wedding to Bassma Boussil. It's a karaoke song that uses some lines from a Tamer Hosny song...has it ever happen to you

The voice behind this song is Ahmed Gamal--a nobody who is cheering his idol one. The song called on Tamer and Bassma it references their names and how they have manged to score one another. The topic aside this is a catchy beat, simple but catchy ringtone.

Will Tamer have the backbone to come out in public and say the words that he has gotten married? Is it cool for your fans to call your wife "Bint al eeh"? "Daughter of A Gun" Like you have used the line before too many times.

LISTEN: Rania Ahmed, The Coolest Songstress New Single

At First she released a really happy song that rocked my summer...thanks to music from Tamer Ashour. But Rania delivered a knockout song with much energy and excitement to move a mountain. I loved her song and blogged about it for everyone to read. Rania might be the most promising voice from Egypt in a really long time. She has the image, the personality and better yet the voice to stand the test of time.

And now comes her followup hit, it's a darker one that Rania delivered with heart and soul. The song is about reaching a dead end and the relationship now is over with. Then comes the pain and the analyzing portion of this dark journey. Rania lets all her emotion hang for her latest, and they show throughout the song. I like the sobering music and the sweet yet dark feel the song has.

The song is a produce of an A team--Tamer Ashour composed the music, Aser did the arrangements Nadir Abdallah wrote the lyrics--he wrote too many romantic songs including for Elissa. Wonder boy of sound engineering Hany Mahrous treated the song.

Aside From Her Fake Egyptian Accent, Mais Hamdan Is Cool

Mais Hamdan is a funny gal who does a great job hosting a number of shows in Egyptian TV. She has moved over to acting, and she seems to have song alright in that. But I never thought she should be singing, I do not like her performance and I think her vocals are not that strong.

Having said that, there's a sweet hint in her voice, so it's not all bad. Checkout her new single song, a song she recorded for a show where she is also starring. A drama about living in upper Egypt in the country side. Mais does a very fine job in impersonating singer, she has even upset some of them

Mais grew up in Jordan, so for her to try to speak with an Egyptian accent is a bit laughable. She has offended Egyptians few Ramadans ago when she told a joke that pissed off some people. Anyhow she is still in business as you can tell by this song. Mais will also appear not in one TV dramas, but in three this Ramadan.

Mohammed Adwia Crafts A Good vs. Bad Song

Ramadan TV shows and dramas try to claim viewers by hiring the best stars and the best scrip writers in the show business, but that is not enough sometimes. that does not cut it. So they tr yo squeeze extra air time by hiring a singer who might talk about his work and might even invite his fans to tune in.

I have not heard about this show, which is titled "A Third Party", it looks like an action packed film with a lot  of young names. IT seems they have filmed in Europe, it seems that 9 out of 10 crews now go to Europe for shooting--a free vacation anybody?

This is a gangsta drama with a lot of people being beaten up, a tale of poor people who end up doing bad things and choosing the gangster route. The song by Mohammed Adwia seems to summarized the entire show. Adwia wrote and composed the song.

I like the song, but the lyrics seem to have been just recorded for another movie that tackles the same subject. AlAlmany. Ahmed Saad sang them.

"I'M Waiting" Nader Guirat Deserves The Wait

The year was 2008 when a young Tunisian man walked into the set of Star Academy season five and people let him into their homes. Nader did duet songs with just about all the stars one loves including Cheb Khaled,  Karl Wolf, Massari, Ahmed Al-Sherif. Nader left the show with a lot more experience and a bigger fan base that wanted to see more of the young artist.

This multi talented singer who has performed in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Arabic. Through the song below, one can track Nader's musical influence--Pop, Rock, Acoustic, Alternative, Metal, Classical Music, Oriental Music and Comédie Musicale.

And impressive turn in Nader's career is his collaboration with the with music arranger Michel Fadel and ‘The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine’, where the song video was shot. ‘L’Ange Perdu’ received best song of the year award from Tunisian radio stations

Now few years later, he is back with a new single in English and with an American singer whose vocals are a perfect match for Nader's. Nader showcased his guitar skills to my amusement, the guy is no poser, he is the real deal. He does have a true crossover appeal, as his language and multi-talents will open doors for him, he shows a lot of energy for live and accosting performances.

This year, along with Dylan Lloyd , a fellow contestant in Crimea Music Fest, Nader released his most recent work “I’m Waiting”. A passionate song that shows another perspective of Nader’s promising music talent. And it doesn’t end there, this multi-cultural music talent still has a few projects up his sleeve His new album is due to drop soon, I know foe which I will be waiting.

“I’m Waiting” was written by Nader Guirat and his friend Dylan Lloyd, the song was mastered and mixed by another freind who likes this kind of hot music, Aymen El Guedri. This is a song two friends who like music and have a passion for good projects came up with. America's Dylan Lloyd featured in his ballad a new comer that goes by the name Nader Guirat who also co-wrote this track

So where do two musicians like this meet? Don't worry, they mean on something called the famous TV show in Ukraine called "Crimea Music Fest" last September 2011. I like this song, it sounds like what would a rock band working in a garage can produce.

عايش غريب - شذى حسون 2012 | Aish Garib - Shatha Hassoun

The music of India has played a big role in the local music scene in thew Gulf due to the long history of exchange between those two lands. That's what you get when he hera the latest single from Iraq's finest pop export Shatha Hassoun.

The music is composed by the busiest and most popular gulf music composer Fayez Al Said, he channeled some elements of Bollywood music. Hands down he is the best composer and most accomplished composer who crank up one fins song after another. He seems to really like working with Shatha who seems to have moved her operation to Dubai

A female poet composed the lyrics, and she did one heck of a job, she wrote all the things that guys often overlook. I am talking about the emotional stuff of course. Shatha chose the right song and the right time to release this single. Shatha is a music force not to be reckoned with, she is way smart and way more expediences than many of her peers. She makes good choices, sounds really good too and her fans would do anything for her.

Sherine Is "Overjoyed" In Her Post Divorce حصريا اغنية شيرين الجديدة طايره من الفرحه

Did Sherine just make the most emotional conflicting song to date? I am really overwhelmed with emotions. Let's look at the big picture, Sherine and her husband got a divorce few weeks ago, it was a private matter and so far they have manged to keep it private, so far the media did not prey on it

And now comes this new teaser song, form her upcoming album, the title is about being overjoyed with happiness but also having tears in one'e eye as they break up with someone they have loved at some point. I wish Sherine and her husband all the best. She has promised an album that she will finance and leave as her legacy to her kids. She broke with Rotana and has no kind words for them--she feels neglected among the ranks.

I have yet to hear another Arabic song that blends such conflicting emotions so well, Sherine sounds really sad as she sings the lines, she seems to have taken them personally. She is telling the guy that his presence is no longer needed. She tell him the tears in her eyes are not induced by their breakup, but rather by her new freedom as she forgets him and moves on.

She just has outdone herself, maybe she is not done yet. I am sure the guys at Rotana are regretting not being kind to this once and always hit maker.

LISTEN: Angham - Law Kont Single اغنية انغام - لو كنت

Angham might not have had her Ramadan Drama on TV this year, but she is not out, fresh of a round of media interviews and a rumored feud with her co star Dalia Al Bihiry, Angham has never striekc me as a team player, she is a lone wolf and she sems to have few freinds in the business.

She has a combative style and almost always take things the wrong way, and insist that she has no problem, but the other party does have the problem. Fine, but why do most people do not have nice things to say about Angham? I like the lady and I like how sweet she can be. She might be misunderstood too. But by the same token she should look inward too

She is not mean, she got baggage dating back to her father and her working together when she was a little girl, then family drama. It really shows, as most of her interviews, it's easy to get Angham to talk about her personal life--her her divorce from the Kuwait composer and the father of her children.

Luckily for her the Gulf adores her voice, and luckily for them she keeps on doing songs in that dialect like her most recent single, a happy song really about imagining the moment...this is a hit song with some fresh music with some cool violin. The song's lyricist and the composer is the same person whose name is Al Sima- a female perhaps?

The composer did a really good job. A fitting song for the Eid with a lot of well wishes. Dream on....

Moustafa Mahfouz Is The Most Underrated Pop Star

His latest single has been released and it has the viewership on YouTube to show for it. For starter Moustafa Mahfouz is a very good composer, he has a good name and a decent brand. He has collaborated with the best pop stars out there. Then he has helped young stars break into the business--like Omniya Suliman.

But he has also released a number of songs, his songs are pretty catch too. He makes good layered music and his voice is pretty enjoyable. The guy knows how to present the sade and broken hear voice without much agony.

Sure, his first music video was a bit random with a lot of random things and sexually confusing models and hot rides. But the song itself was fresh. Then came a single after another. His album was delayed but he just given us a sample with this single. He sings to and abut women as if they are both grownup ups, no kiddie crap.

Marwa Nasr Post Marriage Song "Beit Wahed" / مروة نصر - بيت واحد

Marwa Nasr has gotten married to some music producer, and they had a big bash and they never said they were getting married...they invited folks over for an engagement party and then the wedding started. Her latest single is meant to tell us all that she has gotten what she has thought and prayed about.

Put that aside for a second, and now she is ready to tell you about the moment they have become one and have moved into the same place together---hopefully forever. I liked Marwa few years ago, and I think her voice is entertaining, she might be a one note vocalist. She has a comfort zone.

The ladies and the confused males would love this song, your average Moe might not relate too it....so we are getting married he says! The song is about dreaming about Mr. right, Marwa has a lot to say about that, she did hire a model to fill in for her husband.
