Kad Achouri was born to first generation Algerian Berber parents in the small provincial town of Mazamet in the Tarn, south-west France, in 1969. He began teaching himself to play the piano and briefly attended the music conservatory in Toulouse. Then he moved to Barcelona, where he spent 5 years listening to jazz and hanging out, and finally to London in 1993 where he began to play piano bars to earn a living.Kad quickly gained a reputation on the London scene, not just as a talented musician but also as a composer and producer – with his own studio in his small west London apartment. A crucial break came for Kad through his friendship with Natacha Atlas. Hakim was born in Maghagha, a small town in Al Minya, Egypt. Hakim grew up with the sound of working-class tradition of Sha'bi; the root of southern Egyptian. He became influenced by the great Sha'bi singer Ahmed Adaweyah and began practicing Mawals, the vocal improvisations which begin a traditional Sha'bi song. At fourteen years old he formed a band and started performing at local parties and school functions with the accompaniment of a tabla, duff, and an accordion, playing covers of classic Sha'bi hits by Ahmed Adaweya, Mohamed El Ezabi, and Abdel Ghani Al Sayed. Soon the band was a hit and expanded by adding keyboards and drums and performing all over the Minya province.His father, the mayor of Maghagha, wished that he would get a higher degree, and although Hakim loved singing, and wanted it to be his career, he bowed to his father’s wishes and attended the Al-Azhar University in Cairo, graduating in 1983 with a degree in communications. Rachid Taha (Arabic: رشيد طه) (born 1958 in Oran, Algeria) is an French-Algerian musician. His music is influenced by many different styles such as rock, techno and raï.Based in Paris, France where he began his solo career after his beginnings as the leader of the French rock band Carte de Séjour, he usually sings in Arabic. In 1981, while living in Lyon, France, Taha met Mohammed and Mokhtar Amini. The three of them, Rachid, Djamel Dif and Eric Vaquer would later form the band "Carte De séjour" (Green Card) and record their first maxi Album Carte De Séjour in 1983. Their first LP Rhoromanie, came out in 1984. Their second and last LP entitled Ramsa (Five) was released in 1986 and included their famous and ironic cover of Douce France, originally sung by Charles Trenet. The band dissolved in 1989. His breakthrough album as a solo artist was Diwân, featuring remakes of songs for the Algerian and Arab traditions. His album Tékitoi, produced by Steve Hillage and released in 2004, also brought him great acclaim and recognition from other rock musicians. Najoua Belyzel (born Najoua Mazouri 15 December 1981 in Nancy, France) is a French pop rock/electronic singer of Moroccan descent.Najoua was born in Nancy, and grew up in a large family with three sisters and two brothers. Her father is Moroccan and her mother is Egyptian. Since childhood, she had shown an interest in music, and by age 14, had begun writing her own songs.
Najoua originally studied law beginning in 2001 at the University of Nancy, but left for Paris to pursue a career in music. She met some success after a casting call when she joined the group Benoît, who had a successful single called "Tourne-toi Benoît", which touched on the subject of homosexuality. The later singles from the group, however, only met moderate success, and eventually the group parted ways.
Later she met the songwriter Christophe Casanave, whose work had already been performed by popular French acts Steeve Estatof and Marc Lavoine. The two worked together on a song called "Stella", which would later appear on her debut album.

In 2005, Najoua released her first single titled "Gabriel", an electric-pop dance track. The song became a huge hit in France, and peaked at number three on the Top 40 charts in France. On 29 May 2006, she released her debut album titled Entre deux mondes, which debuted at #7 on the French charts and at #1 on the iTunes France music store. Two other singles were released, "Je Ferme les Yeux" in June 2006, which was also an electro-pop title but it met with less success than Gabriel. Shatha Amjad Hassoun Alshamery was born in Casablanca, Morocco on 3 March 1981, to an Iraqi father and Moroccan mother. A l’âge de 17 ans, encouragé par sa famille et ses amis à poursuivre sa vocation, Wissem vit une expérience extraordinaire et entre pour une première fois dans un studio pour enregistrer son premier album intitulé Magroum Biha qui contient 6 titres dont le thème principal est l’amour – Ce qui fait de lui un raï-loveur... Ses influences musicales sont multiples : Raï, musiques de monde, jazz, flamenco, reggae, musiques latines, mezzoued et hadra tunisien, tabal de Kerkennah, musique classique, rap, hip-hop, chaâbi, malouf, chanson française des années 1960-70-80, musique douce, rock des années 1970-80, les musiques turques. JAXXMA is comprised of three talented Producers/Rappers Rony Jackson aka Dj Rone Jaxx, Majid Faris aka Majician and Mohammed Darwish aka Gene Clash. Their official Disc Jockey is Dj Shero, also an R&B vocalist who featured on some of their tracks. The music journey started way back into time from when Rone was shaping the hip hop scene in Dubai during the early 90’s. Dj’ing and making mix tapes along side different artists (L.V, S.K.A., Pavan, Mc Moves, Gladihater etc...) music was a passion he pursued. By 2000 Rone met up with Majician and formed a hip hop group called “JAXXMA”. They then both worked with different talents locally and internationally and started making their demo tapes. Meanwhile Majician was already working with Gene Clash who was then introduced to Rone which then lead to the transformation of “JAXXMA” into a musical power house. The group then decided to focus their talents into making their own album “My City”. Their album features talented artists from not only Dubai, but all over the world. Two of their tracks (Here I come & No Heaven) recently reached number 1 and 2 spots on Broadjam.com’s Asian Charts and ranked number 4 on Broadjam’s International charts. One hit that has been heard across the UAE is, 'Can't Get Her', featuring Hamdan, which was a regular jam on National Radio 1 and reached the number one spot on Dj Danny Neville's number one song produced in Dubai. They also have received air play on BBC 1 Extras UPTOWN ANTHEMS hosted by Dj Ronnie Herel and KISS 100’s Blitz Power Mix hosted by Dj Shortee Blitz. Another track 'No more Love’ received much air play in the UK, but has not yet hit the UAE stations due to it’s controversial lyrics. That was just a test run that showed the groups potential. Their Album was anticipated to come out by late 2006 but due to the groups busy working schedule it’s now coming out by mid 2007. They recently opened up for Montell Jordan at the Mix at Grand Hyatt Dubai and for JOE @ chi @ the lodge. The shows received great feed back and were a huge success. These three inspirational young men each have there own trade mark style of production and rapping, becoming one of the first official Hip Hop R&B crew in Dubai to break through internationally with global air play and collaborations.
